Something happened at our MAS-DC chapter this season that says more about ITKAN than any program update could.
The FLL program there has almost doubled since last year, and is roughly three times the size it was when the chapter started. Growth like that comes with a practical problem: the new teams needed another competition table, and the official tables were sold out.
So a group of MAS-DC parents got into action. They worked out exactly what was needed, sourced the materials, and built the table themselves — frame, surface and finish — in time for the teams to practice on it.
This is what ITKAN-MAS DC is meant to be. Not only teaching our kids robotics, but building a community where parents bring their skills, their time and their energy, solve problems together, and create opportunities for the next group of students coming through.
“This is how a community grows. Everyone carries a piece of it.”
May Allah reward everyone who helped. ❤️
